Responsibilities in health data governance
Sets the strategic direction for health data
Accountable for the data, IT and systems in their area
Accountable for ensuring policies and processes are in place around who can do what with data in their area
Allocates appropriate resources (funding, people) for data management
Accountable for appropriate staff training in relation to data, eg security, ethics, privacy and personal data
Accountable for ensuring that the data collected, stored, shared and used adheres to the required standards
