# How to use this toolkit

We would encourage you to work through the toolkit in a step-by-step fashion, as we feel it is important for you to consider each stage before publishing data for the first time.&#x20;

If you feel that you only need to use a particular section of the toolkit, or would like to jump back to a previous section, is possible to navigate through the toolkit by using the toolbar on the left hand side.&#x20;

Many of the tools and frameworks that are referenced in this toolkit are housed on other websites, such as [the ODI's website](https://theodi.org/). Where it is necessary for you to navigate to another website outside of GitBook, we will indicate this with a 'hint box'.&#x20;
