# How to use this toolkit

We would encourage you to work through the toolkit in a step-by-step fashion, as we feel it is important for you to consider each stage before publishing data for the first time. 

If you feel that you only need to use a particular section of the toolkit, or would like to jump back to a previous section, is possible to navigate through the toolkit by using the toolbar on the left hand side. 

Many of the tools and frameworks that are referenced in this toolkit are housed on other websites, such as [the ODI's website](https://theodi.org/). Where it is necessary for you to navigate to another website outside of GitBook, we will indicate this with a 'hint box'.
